Flossie Nina Hardy, 94, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Friday, August 19, 2011, at The Willows Center.She was born November 9, 1917, in Parkesburg, a daughter of the late David and Clara Mae Marshall-Mellinger.Flossie was a homemaker, loved thrift shopping and spending time with her family.She is survived by one sister, Lillian Shaffer of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Sheila Crockett and her husband, Linwood, of West Union, W.Va., and Sharon Powers of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one son, Carl Richard Hardy of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Teresa Dugan of Mineral Wells, W.Va., and Angela Powers-Marshall and her fiancé, David Von Ville of Vienna, W.Va.; four great-grandchildren, Josh Dugan of Parkersburg, W.Va., Joe Dugan of Shinnston, W.Va., Elizabeth Stauffer of Mineral Wells, W.Va., and Wyatt Marshall of Vienna, W.Va.; one great-great-grandchild, Courtney Dugan of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and close family friends Kimberly Clark-Parsons and Nettie Lockhart.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hardy; three sisters; one brother; and great-great-granddaughter, Corissa Dugan.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Jim Lynch officiating. Interment will follow at Herndon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
