Fleet Wood Argabrite, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away September 25, 2011, at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus. He was born December 29, 1930, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of the late Jacob H. and Nettie A. Davis Argabrite.He was a member of Stout Memorial United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of Parkersburg Lodge 198 of the Elks and a past member of Homebuilders Association. He worked in sales and advertising for The Parkersburg News and Sentinel for many years and also owned Argabrite Realtors where he retired early as a self-made businessman. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, L. Maxine (Montgomery) Argabrite; his sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen (Bob) Wilson of Vienna, W.Va., Sandra Cagle Montgomery of St. Petersburg, FL, and brother-in-law, Larry (Judy) Montgomery of Vienna, W.Va.; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of good friends. In additionto his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Edna Lowe, Francis Allen, Mary Fielder, Betty Allen, Dorothy Argabrite, and Nan Jahan; brothers, Charles, John, and James “Bud” Argabrite; and father-in-law, Harry Clay Montgomery and wife Rosalia.Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2011, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va., with Rev. Scott Sears and Rev. George Allen officiating with the assistance of Chuck Cross. Visitation with the family will be from noon until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Stout Memorial United Methodist Church or charity of choice.
