Fern Corrine Barringer

Fern C. Barringer, 77, of Williamstown, W.Va., passed away May 31, 2011, at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born July 6, 1934, daughter of the late Ethel Estella and Alonzo Marshall. She is survived by her sons, Denver “Buzz” and Tim Barber, both of Middlefield, OH; grandson, Steve Barber (Amanda) of Hopewood, PA; sister, Thelma Richards; and her half-brother, Charles Bowersock. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Merle Denver Barber; her second husband, Robert F. Barringer; her brother, Lloyd Marshall; and her half-brother, Charles Bowersock. The family would like to thank Housecalls Hospice and her care-givers of the past 2 ½ years for the loving care and compassion shown to her during her long illness; Margaret Murphy, Leah Boughner, and more recently, Dorothy Bills. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday June 2, 2011, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va. Interment will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
