Felicia D. Sharpe-Jones

Felicia D. Sharpe-Jones, 52, passed away on January 21, 2011 at Charleston Area Medical Center.She was born in Philadelphia, PA, on December 21, 1958 and was the daughter of the late Barbara DeBrady.She was the granddaughter of the late Cleveland and Lena Gore.She is survived by her husband, Michael A. Jones, Sr. and her son, Michael A. Jones, Jr.; two brothers, Ronald Sharpe and James DeBrady.Felicia worked as an accountant for the Bureau of Public Debt with over 30 years of service.Outside of work, she truly enjoyed time spent with friends playing tennis, bicycling, playing basketball, and just overall enjoying each other's company.Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green Street, Parkersburg, with Reverend Thomas McDowell officiating.Burial will be at a later date in Brentwood, Maryland.Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to the “Felicia Sharpe-Jones Memorial Fund” c/o United Bank, Attention Tina Smith, P.O. Box 1382, Parkersburg, WV 26102.A memorial bench will be placed at the Parkersburg City Park Tennis Courts in honor of Felicia, as she spent many of her days there playing tennis, basketball, walking, riding her bike, and just spending time with her friends who will always love her.
