Everett A. Modesitt

Everett A. Modesitt, 83, of Belpre, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus, Parkersburg, W.Va.He was bornMarch 16, 1928 at Walker, W.Va., a son of the late Ira A. and Opal Goff Modesitt.He was retired having worked for Winans at DuPont.He was Methodist by faith and had attended Mt. Carmel Methodist Church.He is survived by his caregiver and grandson, Danny Baxter and wife, Stephanie, and their sons, Daniel and Stephen Baxter, of Belpre, Ohio; one sister; four brothers; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Schofield Modesitt, and one brother.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, Ohio with Rev. Sandy Runnion officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Walker.The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
