Ethel P. Kirby

Ethel Pearle Kirby, 94, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., passed away on May 8, 2011 at the Parkersburg Care and Rehab Center.She was born on August 10, 1916 in Belpre, Ohio, a daughter of the late Alonzo and Minnie Shimer Davis.Ethel is survived by five grandchildren, Anita Lambert of Marietta, Ohio, Mike Burdette of Mineral Wells, W.Va., Andy Hesman of Reidsville, N.C., Scott Burdette of Waverly, W.Va., and Casey Burdette of Parkersburg, W.Va.; thirteen great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur B. Kirby; her daughter, Aretha Pugh; and three brothers, Clarence, Charlie and Joe Davis.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the Snider Chapel Cemetery in Annamoriah, W.Va.Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
