Erma Jean Hoschar

Erma Jean Rhodes Hoschar, 70, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on December 19, 2013 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.She was born July 21, 1943, in Ripley, W.Va., a daughter of Birdie Ruth Bennett Rhodesof Parkersburg and the late John J. Rhodes.Erma was formerly employed by McCrory's Restaurant in downtown Parkersburg.She enjoyed fishing and working on the family farm and she attended Beech Grove United Methodist Church at Medina, W.Va.In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Arnold W. Hoschar; four sisters, Lula Belle (Jim) Knox of Parkersburg, Marjorie Ann (Howard) Martin of Belleville, W.Va., Wanda Bradford of Belpre, Ohio, and Estella (Raymond) Masters of Newport, Ohio; two brothers, Charles Bennett of Ravenswood, W.Va. and Harry Bennett of South Carolina; and a niece and caregiver, Amanda Keith of Davisville, W.Va.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Ray Tannerofficiating.Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery.Visitation will be from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21 at the funeral home.
