Eric Michael Sheppard

Eric Michael Sheppard, 40, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born August 2, 1972 in Parkersburg, W.Va. to Herbert and Mary Whitehead Sheppard. Eric was a 1990 graduate of Parkersburg South High School. He was an independent carpet and vinyl layer and also worked at Bosley Construction. He was an avid go kart racer and fan.In addition to his parents, Eric is survived by a son, Braden Sheppard of Fleming, Ohio; two brothers, Danny Sheppard (Carla) and Gregory Sheppard (Carla), all of Parkesburg, W.Va.; and four nephews, Noah, Luke, Jordan, and Zac Sheppard.Eric was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Sheppard; maternal grandparents, John and Mary Whitehead; and paternal grandparents, Gettis and Hazel Sheppard.The family would like to give special thanks to the physicians and medical staff of the James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio and Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, W.Va.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2012 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333Pike Street, Parkersburg, W.Va. with Bob Riffle officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
