Elva L. Anderson, 82, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away Oct. 29, 2011, at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.She was born Aug. 30, 1929, in Wood County, W.Va. to the late Rev. Cecil Marlow and Pauline Gragg Marlow.She was a member of Heart of Worship Church, enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, attending church services, spending time with family, and her four legged “son” WeeBit.She is survived by four daughters, Sherry Rice (Joseph) of Parkersburg, W.Va., Sheryl Jo Wilson of Davisville, W.Va., Denise Humphries (Sam) of Mineral Wells, W.Va., and Christina Anderson of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one son, Douglas Anderson (Mary) of Coolville, Ohio; one brother, Alfred Marlow (Nancy) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; 37 very special extended family members; two very special friends, Jane Sams and Peggy Bradley; and one sister-in-law, Betty Marlow of Parkersburg, W.Va.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Anderson in 1977; one brother, Vernon Marlow; one great-grandson, Shane Warner Jr.; one foster son, Harry Wells; one foster granddaughter, Melissia Wells Gavin; and one great-granddaughter, Mia Grace Harris.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011 at Heart of Worship, 1630 Eighth Ave., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Tim Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street Parkersburg, W.Va.
