Eleanor Smith

Eleanor Reeder Smith, 96, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., passed away on August 27, 2013 at the Willows Center.She was born August 24, 1917, in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison and Lieu Daugherty Reeder.Eleanor was a homemaker and enjoyed collecting recipes, embroidering and gardening.She is survived by one daughter, Betty Somerville of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; one son, Billy Smith of Parkersburg, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Rebecca Wagner (Josh) of Williamstown, W.Va., Ty Smith (Stefanie) of Marietta, Ohio, Brittany Winland (Benny) and Samuel Smith, both of Morgantown, W.Va.; and two great-grandchildren, Levi Wagner and Demetrie Smith.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen R. Smith; one son, Gary Smith; and one brother, Wilbur Reeder.Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Rufus Hoalcraft officiating. Interment will follow at Big Tygart Cemetery.Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
