Edwin Frank Edwards

Edwin” Frank” Edwards, 91 of Mineral Wells passed away June 29, 2013 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born October 7, 1921 in Palestine, W.Va. a son of the late Orval Von Edwards and Lillie B. Lott Flesher Edwards Welch. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of WWII and was retired from Corning Glass in 1985. He was a member of Mt. ZionBaptist Church where he served as a deacon.Frank is survived by his wife of 67 years, Alta Marie Price Edwards; three daughters, Linda Carpenter (David) of Washington, W.Va., Shirley Jackson (Jim Eddy) of Parkersburg, and Carol Edwards (Dick Cline) of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; two sisters, Dorothy Grove of Charleston, W.Va., and Bettie Price (Howard) of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; a brother, Henry Lee (Mary) of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; grandchildren, Matthew Jackson (Jody), Kathy Wince (Joe), Karla Mick (Guy), and Kevin Carpenter; great-grandchildren, Gannon Jackson, Ryan Jackson, Jared Wince, Aaron Wince, Anthony Wince, Noah Wince, William Thomas, and Isaiah Mick; his 106 year old uncle, Howard Lott; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Flesher, James Edwards, Lloyd Edwards, and infant brother Albert Edwards.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg with Rev. Dr. William Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Mineral Wells.
