Edward Duane Evans, Jr., 66, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away August 31, 2014 at his home.He was born May 28, 1948 in Parkersburg, son of the late Edward D. Evans, Sr., and Ethel McVey Parsons. He was a member of Calvary Mission of Parkersburg and the Disabled American Veterans Association.Edwardis survived by his wife, Doris Green Evans; two daughters, Jennifer (Buddy) Butcher and Christine (Shawn Reese)Evans of Parkersburg; two sons, Nathan Evans of Parkersburg, and James (LaShay) Evans of Florida; three sisters, Pamela Bradon and Paula (Al) Uppole of Parkersburg and Amanda(Jeremy) Roberts of Davisville, W.Va.; four brothers, Thomas (Mary) Evans of Parkersburg,Timmy (Cindy) Evans of Little Hocking, Ohio, John Evans of Parkersburg, Tony Evans of California; grandchildren, Sadie, Addie, Niaziah Butcher, Adrianna and Braelyn Evans, Patrick and Mason Reese and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Wayne; sister, Myrna Evans; and two nephews, Josh Uppole and Steve Parsons.Visitation will be Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green Street, Parkersburg, W.Va.Funeral Services will be Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jack Brown officiating. Burial will follow with a graveside military service by the American Legion Post 15 Color Guard at Evergreen North Cemetery, Parkersburg.
