Elder, 73, a devoted mother, grandmother and sister, of Belpre, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at her residence.She was born August 26, 1939 in Marietta, Ohio, a daughter of Elton “Woody” Parker and Rachel Irene Morrow Parker.Edna was a homemaker and retired after 29 years of service from Nashua Photo. She enjoyed being with her family, especially the grandchildren and watching NASCAR.She is survived by two daughters, Becky Wright (Mike) of Columbus, Ohio and Beverly Maxwell (Mike) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; grandchildren, Megan, Justin, Aaron, Mitchell, and Macy; great-grandchildren, Trevor and Alex; and three sisters, Carolyn Sue Dugan (also her faithful caregiver), Thelma Baker (Oren) and Charlene Hill (Ron), all of Marietta, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Carl “Ernie” Elder; two brothers, Gerald and James Leonard Parker; one sister, Oma“Sally” Richards; and an infant son, Keith Elder.Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd., Belpre, Ohio with Pastor RickBrown officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery of Belpre. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to :00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday,at the funeral home.The family would like to extend special thanks to Amedisys Hospice of Marietta and Dr. Curtis Dehmlow & staff.
