Edith Doris Mason

Edith Doris Mason, 90 of Parkersburg passed away August 6, 2013 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus. She was born October 15, 1922 in Mill Creek, Randolph County, W.Va. daughter of the late Rev. Robert Raymond and Lona Marie Shreve Smith. She had worked at the Ritchie County Garment Factory in Cairo, W.Va. She was a member of North Fork Baptist Church but more recently attended Murphytown United Methodist Church.Edith is survived by four children, Roger Mason (Vicki) of Bairoil, WY, Linda Durst (Roger) of Waverly, W.Va., Perry Mason (Frances) of Huntington, W.Va., and Sandra Mason of Ft. Thomas, KY; a brother, Raymond Smith of Parkersburg; a grandson, Shane Mason (Amanda) of Bairoil, WY; three grandchildren, Gabriel, Blake and Brooklyn; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Denzil Mason in August 1989; two sisters, Olive Kerns and Iris Parks; and three brothers, French, Lawrence and Robert Smith.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Mary Zimmer officiating. Burial will follow at the Cairo Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
