Duane Leroy Burge

Duane L. Burge, 77, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on March 26, 2013 atWorthington Manor Care and Rehab.He was born Dec. 21, 1935, in Chesterhill, Ohio, a son of the late Blaine and Ethel Gheen Burge.He was a graduate of Marietta High School with the class of 1953. He retired from G.E. Plastics after 25 years of service and drove for local car dealers, McClinton's, Matheny's and Superior Motors. He attended Grace Gospel Church in Pettyville, W.Va.He is survived by his wife, Nava Jo Walker Burge, whom he married Sept. 25, 1955; one daughter, Melanie Drane (Tony) of St. Marys, W.Va.; two sons, Brad Burge (Sue) of Mineral Wells, W.Va. and Bob Burge (Terry) of Iron Ridge, Wis.; six grandchildren, Abby Burge (Mike), D.J. Burge (Julie), Alli Canfield (Seth), Adam Drane, Andrea Drane, and Josh Burge; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Henry Burge; two step-grandchildren, Jesse Pollak (Crystal) and Amanda Kartes (Jake); one step-great-grandson, Logan Pollak; one sister, Marilyn Johnson (Carl) of Marietta, Ohio; one brother, Dwight Burge (Billie) of Marietta, Ohio; and several niece and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Steve Burge.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Grace Gospel Church in Pettyville with Pastor Roger Benson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8>00 p.m. Friday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
