Dorothy Fay Townsend

Dorothy Fay Townsend, 94, of Parkersburg, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the Ohio Valley Health Care. She was born June 9, 1925, in Wood County, WV, a daughter of the late Russell L. and Edna Lee Hall. Dorothy was a Rosie Riveter during WWII. She retired from John Manville and was a homemaker. She is survived by her two sons, John Townsend (Karen) of Parkersburg and Randy Townsend (Susie) of Palestine, WV; one brother, Edward Hall of Elizabeth, WV; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Townsend; one brother; and four sisters. At Dorothy’s request she will be cremated and a graveside service will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens at the convenience of the family.
