Dorothy J. Stoops

Dorothy J. Stoops, 83, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.She was born June 27, 1927, in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Elwood D. and Madaline R. Biddle Barnett.Dorothy was a homemaker and had formerly been employed at A.B. Chance. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church.Surviving are one son, Jim Hinzman (Sarah) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Doug Hinzman (Shannan) of Williamstown, W.Va., and David Hinzman (Tina) of Waverly, W.Va.; and three great-grandchildren, Sarah, Jessica, and Michael Hinzman.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, June Roberts; her second husband, Robert Hinzman; her third husband, Frank Stoops; two sisters, Doris Varner and Joan Thornock; and one infant brother, Kenneth Barnett.Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2011 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Don Yeager officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011 and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
