Dorothy Groghan Lemon, 97, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away Monday, March 3, 2014, at Wyngate Senior Living Community.She was born October 6, 1916, in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ree M. and Mary Ruth Pyle Groghan. She retired after 25 years of teaching at Fairview Elementary School in St. Albans, W.Va. Most of her life, she was a member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ in Scott Depot, W.Va., and is currently a member of the Belpre Church of Christ in Belpre, Ohio.Dorothy is survived by one son, Mark A. Lemon of Salt Lake City, Utah; one daughter, Mary Ann Thorn of Vienna, W.Va.; two sisters, Joan Andes of Beaumont, Texas and Barbara Joyner of Rogers, Arkansas; one brother, Al Groghan of Mentone, Alabama; five grandchildren, Lenya Ehrmann of Little Rock, Arkansas, Karen Flannagan and Kenny Lemon of Orlando, Florida, Sudona Lombard of Burleson, Texas and Andrea Starkey of Mingo Junction, Ohio; ten great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Lemon and one son, Russell Lemon, Jr.; a sister, Doris Yoke of Euclid, Ohio; and brother, Ree M. Groghan, Jr. of St. Albans, W.Va.Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014at the Belpre Church of Christ, 2932 Washington Blvd., Belpre, Ohio, with Kevin Lombard officiating.
