Dorothy H. Carpenter

Dorothy H. Carpenter, 80 of Vienna, W.Va. went home to be with the Lord Jan. 20, 2012 at the Willows Center. She was born March 2, 1931 in Kanawha County, W.Va. the daughter of the late George C. Campbell and Louisa H. Campbell Hixon. She was employed at the A.B. Chance Co. of Parkersburg and worked for several years at Traveler's Restaurant. She is survived by a brother, Eugene F. Campbell (Oneida) of Orlando, FL; a half brother, Mackey Hixon of Florida; and a half sister, Mary Kathleen Lobbins of Parkersburg, W.Va. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Carpenter; one brother; and three sisters. The family and friends of Dorothy would like to give a special thanks to the care giving Angels of the Willows Center for their loving care and compassion. At Dorothy's request she will be cremated and laid to rest at Evergreen North Cemetery. A memorial service will be conducted and announced at a later date.
