Dorothy Marie Amick 79, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away August 19, 2011 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.She was born January 20, 1932 in Ritchie County, W.Va. the daughter of the late William H. Waller and Kate Devaughn Waller. Dorothy retired from Brockway Glass and also worked at Fentons and Owens Illinois. She enjoyed sewing and crafts and she was a member of Faith Baptist Church.Surviving is her loving daughter and sons; daughter; Katie Watkins (Jeff) of Elizabeth, W.Va., sons; William H. Amick (Karen) of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Kenneth W. Amick (Faith) of Columbia, SC; five grandchildren, Jess Amick (Kinsey) of Martinsburg, W.Va., Heather Kovalak of Woodbury, MN., Jonathan Amick (Sarah) of Pendleton, SC., Stephanie Cooper (JD) of Lykens, Pa. and Stormi Watkins of Elizabeth, W.Va; great-grandchildren, Isadora Amick of Martinsburg, W.Va., Abigail Kovalak of Woodbury, MN., Lucas Amick of Pendleton, SC. and Victoria, Jordan, Gabriel and Zavier Cooper of Lykens, Pa.; uncle, Charles “Hank” Waller (Marianne) of Woodbine, Ga.; and caretakers, Sherry Pratt of Rockport, W.Va. and Diane Watkins of Parkersburg, W.Va. In addition to her parents Dorothy was preceded in death her husband, Jess and great-granddaughter, Vanessa Cooper.Services will be held at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va., Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jim Yoak officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery.
