Mrs. Donzella Adkins Isaacs, 84 went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 25, 2013.She was born Dec. 4, 1928 in Branchland, W.Va. to her loving parents, Walter and Geneva Ferguson Adkins. Mrs. Isaacs was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Parkersburg, W.Va. and in her youth was a member of Hamlin Baptist Church, Hamlin, W.Va. She loved the Lord, was active in her church life and enjoyed sharing the Word of God when she witnessed to others during her lifetime. Mrs. Isaacs was a graduate of Hamlin High School and attended Gardner-Webb College in Boiling Springs, NC. She was retired from the Wood County School System and had taught school in the Lincoln County School System.Preceding her in death was the love of her life, her husband of forty-five years, Sescoe C. Isaacs, Jr.; three sisters, Dolly Adkins Hazelett, Frances Adkins Reid, and Revella Adkins Brown; and two brothers, Donald Adkins and Walter Adkins, Jr.Donzella leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Sescoe Curry Isaacs, III (Deborah) of Chicago, IL, and Richard Allan Isaacs (Christina) of St. Augustine, FL; grandchildren, Lyndsey I. Tillman, Kailah Jo Isaacs, Abraham Isaacs, Nick Rullman, and Erin R. Taylor; four great-grandchildren; numerous special nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends around the world.A funeral service to celebrate the life of Donzella Isaacs will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2013 at Grace Baptist Church in Parkersburg. The church is located at the corner of Emerson Ave. and Rosemar Rd. in Parkersburg. A private burial service will be held in Barboursville, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va.
