Donald “Don” Hanshaw 76, of Williamstown, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, February 28. 2012 at his residence.He was born June 22, 1935 in Waverly, W.Va. a son of the late Bill and Maybell McCoy Hanshaw.Don was a retired carpenter with Local #899 for 36 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. Don loved being with people and never met a stranger.He is survived by his wife, Emily Marie McDonald Hanshaw; two son's, Donald Lee Hanshaw, Jr. (Edith), of Waverly, W.Va. and Ronald Hanshaw (Theresa)also of Waverly; a sister, Virginia Hill of Newport, Ohio; three half-sisters, Donna, Linda, and Nancy; two brothers, Robert Hanshaw of Cairo, W.Va. and Gary Henshaw (Carole) of Petroleum, W.Va, and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and George Hanshaw; one sister, Mary McGraw; and a half-sister, Pam.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Dr. William Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the Funeral Home.
