Donald D. Ferrebee Jr., 54, of Parkersburg, W.Va., formerly of Paden City, W.Va., passed away on April 6, 2011 at Cleveland Clinic Hospital.He was born April 4, 1957, in Barberton, Ohio, a son of the late Shirley M. Floyd Ferrebee and Donald D. Ferrebee Sr.Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp having served in Vietnam and also served in the U.S. Army Reserves.He was employed at Westbrook Health Services as a mental health technician and REM Community Options as a direct service employee.He enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing and spending time with family.He is survived by his daughter, Danielle M. “Dani” (Dale) Henthorn of New Martinsville, W.Va.; his son, Shawn (Susie) Ferrebee of New Martinsville; his companion, Debbie Najar of Parkersburg; two brothers, Patrick W. Ferrebee and Matthew J. Ferrebee,both of Paden City, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Luna and Akira Pritchard; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Murphy Ferrebee; his daughter, Misty Dawn Ferrebee; and one brother, Shane Allen Ferrebee.Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, at the Jarvis Funeral Home in Paden City, W.Va. with Rev. Tim Underwood officiating.Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2333 Pike Street, south Parkersburg, W.Va. has assisted the family with local arrangements.
