Donald E. Yates

Donald E. Yates Sr, 73, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away Friday, July 10, 2020 at his residence. He was born June 6, 1947, a son of the late Benjamin Harlan and Thelma Merrill Yates. Donald worked construction where he was a drywall finisher for several years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dirt track racing, antique cars and collecting knives and watches. Donald is survived by his two sons, Donald E. Yates Jr. (Christine) and Douglas B. Yates (Rayne) all of Parkersburg; daughter, Robin Bartlett of Parkersburg; and four grandchildren, Ryan Michael, Payton, Allison, and Wyatt Yates (Autumn). In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Collesa K. Yates; brother, Howard Beegle; and sisters, Carolyn Crites, Freda Raines and Joyce Dunn. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2020 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Jeff Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
