Dennis Mike Cooper

Dennis “Mike” Cooper, 55, of Brohard, W.Va., died March 23, 2013 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va. after a courageous battle.He was born October 2, 1957, in Charleston, W.Va., a son of Dennis and Shirley Fox Cooper of Parkersburg.He was employed by E.I. Dupont Washington Works for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his wife and kids. He loved spending time sitting in the porch swing and sipping sweet tea and catching up with friends.He was an avid beekeeper and enjoyed working around the farm when he was not working at Dupont. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Karen Parsons Cooper; his daughter and son-in-law, Serena and Andy Bower; his young son, Devin Cooper; his loving sister, Judy (Rick) Eggleton, of Gallipolis, Ohio; and brother, Steve Cooper of Brohard; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kelmer and Dessie Fox, and Loura and Lottie Cooper; and sister-in-law, Martha Cooper.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Tim Bell officiating. Interment will follow at K & P Cemetery in Elizabeth, W.Va.Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
