Deloris Eileen Chancey, 87, of Vienna, passed away February 19, 2020 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born November 11, 1932 in Wood County, WV, the daughter of the late Clayton E. and Cora F. (Jenkins) Petty. Deloris worked at Dils Dept. Store, Stone & Thomas and Brockway Glass in production. She was very active in the Mary Martha Circle at the church, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, President of the Mid-Ohio Valley AARP, Senator of Silver Haired Legislation, Board of Directors of Wood County Senior Center and a member of the Vienna Senior Citizens. She enjoyed bowling, karaoke, and line dancing. Deloris was a member of Wayside United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Bonita Eaton (Charles) and Angela Westmoreland (Walter “Rusty”) both of Vienna; close family friend, Cathy Bell; grandchildren, Robert Eaton (Saundra), Maurita Way (Jeremy), Dusty Westmoreland (Amanda), Braxton Westmoreland (Sheena) and Beth Nations (Blake); and great-grandchildren, Christopher Perez, Tyler Nations, Orion, Isis, Freya, Kronos and Athena Way, Walter Westmoreland V and Abigail Westmoreland. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby G. Chancey and one daughter, Deborah Chancey. Funeral services for Deloris will be held 12 P.M. Monday, February 24, 2020 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna with Pastor Sandy Runnion officiating. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen South Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. The family would like to give special thanks to House Calls Hospice for their loving care of Deloris.
