The link is below his picture.Delbert Eugene Dawson “Bert” 74, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away at his residence March 28, 2013.He was born June 3, 1938 in Pleasants County, Hebron, W.Va., son of the late Lawrence and Hazel Nellie Hendershot Dawson.Bert, “Buggs” to his fellow workers, worked for Johns Manville for 25 years. He worked many jobs there, the last of which was as a quality inspector. He retired in May of 2001. Bert loved to golf at Worthington Golf Course, where he was a member, as well as bowl at Emerson Lanes. He spent his mornings enjoying coffee with friends at McDonalds. In his children's youth, he volunteered his time coaching their little league baseball time. He was a member of the Wayside United Methodist Church in Vienna as well as the J. Dollars Christian Club. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Katherine Tallman Dawson; two daughters, Julie Henry (Brice) of Vienna, W.Va. daughter of Bert and Mary; Kristi Miller of Tuscon, Arizona; two sons, Philip Dawson (Lori) of Mineral Wells, W.Va., and Steven Dawson of Vienna, W.Va. and his first wife, Jeannie Corley of Arizona, the mother of his children; sisters, Betty (Hop) Bell, Anna (Joe) Galloway, Alice (Jim) Miller, Agnes Pickens; brothers, Rick (Cheryl) Dawson, George (Sis) Dawson, Ancil Dawson, Thurman (Janet) Dawson, Robert Dawson and Jeff (Betty) Dawson. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Bert was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters; Lula, Irene, Virginia, Kathleen and Mildred and his brothers; Floyed, Charles and Emmet. In honoring Bert's wishes he chose the gift of life through body donation for the program at Marshall University. A Celebration of Bert's life will be11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Wendy Erb officiating.The family wishes to invite their friends and family to join them in the Lambert-Tatman Family Center following celebration services for food and fellowship.
