Delbert Vernon Blair

Delbert Vernon “Boy” Blair, 77, of Williamstown, W.Va., passed away on June 13, 2012 at his residence.He was born May 17, 1935, in Wood County, W.Va., a son of the late Roy V. and Iva Baker Blair.Delbert was the owner of D & G Auto Sales in Parkersburg, W.Va. for over 50 years. He collected car parts and model cars and enjoyed his pets, his horse, goats and dogs.He is survived by his wife, Kathie Orem Blair; his children, Daniel (Shawana) Blair of Marietta, Ohio, Lynne (Rob) Rauch of Lowell, Ohio, Roy Pete Blair, Teddy Blair and Patsy Buskirk, all of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Nancy (Chuck) Buskirk of Vincent, Ohio; two brothers, Ralph (Carrie) Blair and Roy Junior Blair, both of Parkersburg, W.Va.; grandchildren, Courtney, Tyler, Trinity, Raeann, Hunter, Tanner, David, Roy and several others; and his dogs, Bridgette, his protector, and Daisy.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin “Bub” Blair; and one son, Delbert Vernon Blair II.Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Rev. Ronnie Hendershot officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Rev. Chris Waldron officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.Friday at the funeral home.
