David Michael Wood

David Michael Wood, 40, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away August 20, 2011, at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus following an extended illness. He was born October 2, 1970, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of Jimmie Lee and Carolyn Roberta Frazier Wood of Vienna, W.Va.David was a longtime employee of the Kmart of Vienna and very much enjoyed communicating on CB'S as a Ham Operator, his handle being “Lonestar”. He was a special person with a kind heart and bright personality. Most importantly, he was a mom and dad's boy. He was a member of the Grand Central Church of Christ. In addition to his parents he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Audrey Frazier of Belpre; two aunts, Ruth and Janet; uncle, James Michael “Mike”; and a host of cousins.He was preceded in death by his brother, Troy Wood; his maternal grandfather, James S. Frazier; and his paternal grandparents, Dave and Myrtle Wood. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday August 24, 2011, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Dick Long, Ryan Ice, and Jim Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am. until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
