David W. Cale

David W. Cale, 65, of Parkersburg, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born October 14, 1953, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Charles H. “Chuck” and Naomi Lea Bennett Cale. David was a 1971 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and retired from the Bureau of Public Debt as an IT Specialist. He liked website development, bowling, being outdoors, swimming, and going to the beach. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Debra “Debbie” Haught Cale; three daughters, Kristen Marie Cale (Robert Blankensop) of Parkersburg, Angela D. Oberlin (Jacob) of Vienna, and Stephanie J. Graves (Matthew) of Waverly; brother, Richard “Rick” Cale (Pamela) and family of Lancaster, OH; grandchildren, Jackson Oberlin, Cohen Oberlin, Nolan Oberlin, Charlotte Graves, and Nora Graves; father and mother in-law, Louis Haught Sr. (Charlotte) of Bartlett, OH; brothers in-law, Steve Haught (Amy) and family of PA, and Louis Haught Jr. (Missy) and family of Vienna; sister in-law, Jennifer Collins (Don) and family of St. Mary’s, WV; and his dog, Bugsy. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Doug Hart officiating. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Foundation in memory of David.
