David Allen Summers

David Allen Summers, 67 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away March 25, 2012 at his residence. He was born March 9, 1945 in Rivesville, W.Va., a son of the late Lawrence and Nancy Cottril Summers.David was a construction worker and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Summers; son, Chad Glaspell (Bethany) of Salem, W.Va.; daughters, Christine Doak (John) of Parkersburg, W.Va., Kelly and Kayla Summers of Rivesville, W.Va., Michele Robinson (Jay) of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Kimberly Summers of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; grandchildren, Jacob, Hunter and Isabella Glaspell, Jordan, Nathaniel and Joshua Doak, Brooke Vierling, and Emily Robinson; brothers, Lawrence Summers Jr. of Fairmont, W.Va., Delbert Summers (Donna) of Baxter, W.Va., Joseph Summers of Fairmont, W.Va., and Ray Summers (Sandy) of Rivesville, W.Va.; and sister, Martha Summers Baily of Fairmont, W.Va.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Davey Summers Jr.; a brother, Jerry “Rockeye” Summers; and a sister, Elosie Mae Summers.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Nathan Epling officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
