Darrell Roydice Kerns

Darrell Roydice Kerns, 70, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on June 15, 2014 at his residence.He was born December 3, 1943, in Marietta, Ohio, a son of the late Paul L. and Iva Gordon Kerns.Darrell was a graduate of Belpre High School with the class of 1961 and a veteran of the US Navy.He retired from Xerox Corporation.He was a master electrician and enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating.He was a member of the DAV, Eagles, Moose and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Gail Leisure Kerns; two daughters, Monica (Richard) McCully of Washington, W.Va. and Donna (Aaron) Camino of Coolville, Ohio; the mother of his daughters, Billie Kerns of Belpre; two step-daughters, Cynthia (Jason) Leisure-Melrose and Toni (Steve) Higgins, both of Parkersburg; two brothers, Olis Kerns and Roger Kerns both of Belpre;and grandchildren,Travis Murrey, Vance Camino, Alley McCully, Stone McCully, Dakota Leisure and Austin Higgins.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Everett “Jink” Kerns and Charles Willard Kerns.There will be no visitation and a Memorial Service will be planned at the convenience of the family.Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation services is assisting the family with arrangements.
