Dannie F. Snyder, 67, of Elizabeth, W.Va., passed away on November 2, 2011 at his residence.He was born October 1, 1944, in Sandyville, W.Va., a son of the late Thomas Franklin and Minnie Mildreth Riggs Snyder.Dannie was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne having served in the Vietnam Conflict and received the Purple Heart. He retired from Walker Machinery Company. He was Christian by faith.He is survived by his wife, Florence A. Whipkey Snyder; three daughters, Pamela Sue (Mark) Kiger of Ocala, FL, Patricia D. (Sean) Dix of Davisville, W.Va., and Michelle (Mark) Clendenin of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two sons, Dannie (Debbie) Snyder Jr. of Elizabeth, W.Va., and Christopher Snyder of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two sisters, Lorretta Jenkins of Springfield, Ohio and Linda Snyder of Cross Lanes, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Shawn Patrick Snyder; one brother, Donald E. Snyder; and one granddaughter, Victoria Alberta Snyder.Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery with full military rites by the American Legion Post 15 Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
