Dale Leon Long

Dale Leon Long, 66, of Parkersburg, W.Va. went home to be with the Lord on November 27, 2011 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born September 26, 1945, in Roane County, W.Va., son of the late Blaine and Sarah Marie Hardman Long.Dale was a self employed welder and previously worked at A.B. Chance. He was a member of Penecostals of Parkersburg and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janice L. Kiefer Long; three daughters, Dee Dee Long of Walker, W.Va., Janetta Long of Beverly, Ohio, and Sherry (Michael) Stevens of Sandyville, W.Va.; one son, Silas Long of Marietta, Ohio; three siblings, Carolyn (Don) Sheppard of Waverly, Ohio, David (Phyllis) Long of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Charlotte (Donald) Gilbert, of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Bradley Long, Tyler Stevens, Conner Stevens, Ayla Long and Ashana Long; three great-grandchildren, Layla Long, Evelyn Long and Gracie Blind; and his dog, Buger.Memorial services will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at Penecostals of Parkersburg with Pastor Frank Bounds officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the church on Tuesday.Memorial contributions may be made to the Penecostals of Parkersburg, 811 Lodge Ct., Parkersburg, WV26101.
