Constance M. “Connie” Fuchs, 64, of Vienna, W.Va., died at her home on the morning of March 20, 2012, with her family by her side following her battle with a rare neurological disorder.Connie was born on Wednesday, July 23, 1947, at Parkersburg, W.Va., to the late Wallace M. and Ruth Carolina Peterson Fogle.She graduated from Parkersburg High School with the Class of 1965 and attended West Virginia University. She graduated from Rollins College in Florida with a teaching degree in English. She had been a member for years of Wayside United Methodist Church in Vienna.Connie taught English for 30 years in Wood County Schools and in Westerville Ohio City Schools were she retired in 2007. She had been the cross country and track coach and was always an avid runner. Coaching children was her love of life and many of her student athletes still refer to her as “Coach.”Connie is survived by her husband of 32 years, Michael Lee Fuchs; two sons, Robert Russell “Rusty” Maple (Brooke) of Pensacola, Fla., and Tim Fuchs (Mary) of Columbus, Ohio; six grandchildren, Leah Daniell Maple, Cassady and Taylor Chadek and Charlie, Abbi and Maddie Fuchs. Also surviving are two sisters, Debbie Tipper (Fred) of Vienna, W.Va. and Candi Lanham (Bill) of Morgantown, W.Va.; and four nieces and nephews, Chris and Betsy Tipper and Joshua and Jonathan Lanham.She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Charlotte Wheeler (Michael) of Pace, Fla.; one aunt, Carrie Stump of Morgantown, W.Va.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Freda Fuchs; and her special canine friend, Rudy.Friends may call Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and one hour before services Friday. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Nelson officiating and burial will follow in Mt.
