Clinton John Montgomery Jr., 80, of Parkersburg, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 21, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus. He was born March 24, 1933, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Clinton John and Ethel E. Martin Montgomery. Clinton retired from Union Carbide (Elkem), enjoyed collecting and working on old cars, and was a member of 14th Avenue Gospel Mission Church, Parkersburg.He is survived by three daughters, Nancy Metz (Kenny) of Parkersburg, W.Va., Bonnie McLaughlin (Donald) of Davisville, W.Va. and Donna Crist Taylor (Stanley) of Canal Winchester, Ohio; one son, John Montgomery (Becky) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Michael Montgomery (Kelly), Adam Montgomery, Matthew McLaughlin (Sarah), Alicia Stellwagen (John), Ashley Rahrig (Luke), Amy McLaughlin and Emily Montgomery; one step-grandchild, Brian Metz (Jessica); five great-grandchildren, Riley Dawn McLaughlin, Audrey Moon Montgomery, Tucker Owen McLaughlin, Payton Alivia Stellwagen and Noah Matthew McLaughlin; two step-great-grandchildren, Brittany and Brody Metz; and his beloved dog, “Mack.”In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Patricia “Pat” Ahart Montgomery; a son-in-law, Dennis Crist; three half brothers; and two half sisters.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastors Tim Burch and Bill and Daniel Ahart officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
