Clarence Richard “Richie” Harris, 72, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at Worthington Healthcare Center. He was born May 17, 1948, a son of the late Curtis and Bessie Oliver Harris. Richie was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the Vietnam War, and a member of the DAV Chapter 32. He retired from Scott Lumber after over 20 years and was also an HVAC Technician for Don’s Refrigeration. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a skilled woodworker. He enjoyed his time spent with family, friends, and neighbors. He is survived by his son, Matt Harris (Michelle); grandchildren, Cailley McMillan and Megan Harris; great-granddaughter, Nyssa Flinn; brothers, Leon Harris and Kenny Harris; and sisters, Dorothy Holmes and Anna Hendershot. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his fiancé, Donna Buckley; brother, Don Harris; and sisters, Mary Beard and Sharon Mercer. No services will be held at this time for the health and safety of his family. The family asks any donations in his memory be made to the staff of Worthington Healthcare Center in the form of food, drinks, ect.
