Clarence Elbert Enoch,

Clarence Elbert Enoch, Jr., 88, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away April 17, 2013 at his residence with his children and wife beside him.Clarence was born December 25, 1924 in Parkersburg, W.Va. son of the late Clarence Elbert, Sr. and Elsie Roberts Enoch.He loved working in his workshop where he made several things and was proud to give each of the children and grandchildren a picture frame.Clarence was a member for several years at Wesley United Methodist Church in Vienna where he was a Sunday School teacher, Sunday School treasurer, head usher, chairman of trustees and president of United Methodist Men. At the time of his death he was a member of Stout Memorial United Methodist Church on Broad Street in Parkersburg.Clarence enlisted in the Air Force in his senior year at P.H.S., receiving his GED when he came out of the service after World War II. He also attended Lafayette College while in the service and later after the war attended Mountain State College while working at DuPont. He retired from DuPont in April of 1958 with 35 years of service. He retired as a senior analyst in Research and Development.He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Verona Strother Enoch; two sons, David Aaron Enoch,Jr. and friend Yorgo, of Vienna, W.Va., and Larry Elbert Enoch (Felicia) of Williamstown, W.Va.; daughter, Patsy Diane Wolf (Richard) of Dublin, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Rachel Enoch and Aaron Enoch, Jr. (Maggie) both of Parkersburg, W.Va., Lisa Bauer (Aaron) of Columbus, Ohio, Erica (Jason) of Parkersburg, W.Va., Sarah DeToro (Don) of Connecticut, Megan of Pittsburgh, Pa., Jason Rose of Japan, and Ashley Rose of Kentucky; five great-grandchildren, Phoenix and Gabby Campbell, Anna and Luke Bauer; plus numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his four brothers, Freeman, Ralph, Jack and Denver Enoch.The family would like to thank the nurses, aides and Chaplain of House Calls Hospice of Parkersburg. And a special thank you to Dr. Kelli Cawley and the other doctors and nurses that took care of Clarence. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va. with Dr. Paul Russell officiating. Entombment will follow at Ten Commandments at Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to The Building Fund at Stout Memorial United Methodist Church in Parkersburg
