Cecil F. Cook, 80, of Belpre passed away May 4, 2020 at Cleveland Clinic Hospital. He was born August 2, 1939 in Williamstown, WV, a son of the late Homer and Monnie McCartney Cook. Cecil was owner/operator of Renee’s Janitorial Contractor, Inc. for over 50 years. He was a member Moose Lodge #1118, Son of Legion, and VFW in Parkersburg. He enjoyed boating, camping, and being on the river surrounded by friends and family. Cecil was a member of the Lubeck Community Baptist Church. Cecil is survived by his four children, Trena M. Cook of Washington, WV, John David Cook of Washington, WV, Robert Brian Cook (Michelle) of Parkersburg and Sara R. Kiser (Justin) of Parkersburg; his brother, Charles Cook (Mary) of Mt. Vernon, OH; sister-in-law, Janet Cook of Vienna; grandchildren, Tiffany Cook, Melanie Herbst (Josh), Amber Boyde, Kindra Boyde, Chase Kiser (Tori), Kati Kiser and Brayden Kiser; great-grandchildren, Devyn and Colton Herbst and Carter Garrette; and two step-grandchildren, Samantha and Emily White and his dog, Chester. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Marie Cook, June 2013; brother, Carl Cook; half-brother, Homer “Bud” Cook; and half-sister, Anabel Cook Coss. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2020 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green St. Parkersburg with Pastor Mark Houser officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
