Cathy Lynn Evans

Cathy Lynn Evans, 55 of Parkersburg, W.Va. went home to be with The Lord Jan. 7, 2012. She was born June 13, 1956 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Henry and Anna McVey Evans. She was a Christian by faith and a member of Calvary Mission Church. She loved her music and was open to those of all walks of life. She loved all of her family very much but her children and grandchildren were her whole life. She is survived by her daughters, Sasha Henry (Joseph) of Vienna, W.Va., and Ashley Evans (Branden) of Carthage, N.C.; sisters, Deby Carroll Showalter (Larry) of Mineral Wells, W.Va., and Ireta Evans Grosvenor (Ron) of Roy, Washington; brothers, Kevin Evans (Tina) and Mike Evans all of Mineral Wells, W.Va., and Boyd Evans (Julie) of Marietta, Ohio; grandchildren, Caleb and Ashton Uppole; aunt Margie McVey of Coolville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends that loved her very much.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by several family members and friends.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Jack Brown officiating.Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Donations will be accepted to help with funeral expenses. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
