CARROLL L. PARRISHCarroll Lee “Butch” Parrish age 73 of Petroleum, W.Va. passed away November 2, 2013 at his residence.Butch was born March 31, 1940 in Jackson, County, a son of the late Roscoe and Georgia Fae Anderson Passish.. He had worked over 10 years at the Diamond Glass Plant, Vienna, W.Va. and was retired from the Teamsters Union as a truck driver and attended Pine View Baptist Church in Wirt County.Butch loved hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.He also enjoyed spending time with his family which included starting up a new business “Parrish Trucking” with his sons.He is survived by two sons, Scott Parrish (Diane) of Coxsmills, W.Va, and Kevin Parrish ( Danielle) of Vienna; one daughter Shelly Modesitt; seven grandchildren, Tyler Parrish, Sandra Eagle, Michael Lee Horner, Andrew Parrish, Nathaniel Parrish, Riley Parrish and Cheyanne Morgan; one great-grandchild, Kahlen Grace Parrish and one sister Vera Wigal (Ronnie) of Washington, W.Va.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Sandra Dee Smith Parrish; one sister Anna Belle Parrish and two brothers Raymond and Bill Parrish.A memorial service will be at 7:00 P.M. Saturday, November 9, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, with Pastor Paul Drake officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Saturday prior to the services.
