Carol Thompson-Rohrer Bibbee

Carol Thompson-Rohrer Bibbee, 79, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away on April 20, 2013 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, following a short illness. She was born November 28, 1933 in Noble County, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Welcome and Alma McElfresh Rohrer. Carol was a homemaker and her biggest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed working in her yard, reading, and watching television gameshows. She was currently a member of the 36th Street Church of Christ of Vienna where she was active in the Ladies Bible Class. She was formerly a member of the North End Church of Christ and spent time participating in the church's stuffing of bears program at the local hospitals, and was a 1952 graduate of Parkersburg High School.Surviving is her loving husband of nearly 60 1/2 years, Donald C. Bibbee; two daughters, Nancy Baker (Lee) and Cheryl Bibbee, both of Vienna, W.Va.; two sons, Roger Bibbee and Rick Bibbee, both also of Vienna, W.Va.; one sister, Dorla Archer of Noble County, Ohio; one brother, Nelson Thompson, also of Noble County, Ohio; six grandchildren, Adam Bibbee (Jocelyn), Braden Bibbee, Chase “C.D.” Bibbee, Andrew Baker (Christie), Brandon Brown (Jaima), and Rachel Cumberledge; one great-grandson, Cole Baker; and one great-great-grandson, Chance Baker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Beulah Wissmann, Rita Colbert, and Norma Parks-Fry; and one grandson, Kurt Baker. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 24, 2013 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va. with Evangelist Eddie Cooper and Evangelist Mark Mason officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m . to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
