Carl D. Morris, 85, of Vienna, W.V. passed away Friday, November 8, 2013 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.Carl was born September 14, 1928 in Arkansas, a son of the late Jessie W. and Levinia Avery Morris.He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Wood County School Bus Garage where he was a mechanic and bus driver.Carl was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Vienna, W.Va..He is survived by a daughter, Susan Wright of Vienna, W.Va.; a son, C. David Morris (Christine) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Lee Worley (Angela) of Florida, Jared Morris of Parkersburg, W.Va., Joshua Morris (Serena) of Pensacola, Fla. and Jonathan Morris of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and six great-grandchildren, Laura, Emily, Michael and Grace Morris of Pensacola, Fla. and Cadence and Jacob Morris of Parkersburg, W.Va.In addition to his parents , he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Eleanor Rose Morris; and four sisters.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna with Pastor MikeElder officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park in Reno, Ohio.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to services Tuesday.
