Carl Eugene

Carl E. Cox , 52, ofWilliamstown, W.Va. passed away November 24, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born July 26, 1959 in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of Sarah Ward Hartshorn of Williamstown, W.Va. and the late Carl Leonard Cox. He was a professional drywaller for several contractors. Carl loved music and playing guitars. Carl was baptized at the North Parkersburg Baptist Church. Carl is survived by his mother; Sarah Hartshorn, one daughter; Crystal Douthitt and husband Aaron of Marietta, Ohio; one sister; Vicki Jones of West Columbia, W.Va.; two brothers; Doug Hartshorn, Jr. of Parkersburg, W.Va.and Ricky Hartshorn of Williamstown, W.Va.; and two grandchildren, Austin and Brandon Douthitt. He was preceded in death by his father Carl Leonard Cox and his stepfather, Douglas Hartshorn. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with his good friend Joseph McCray officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
