Calvin Ray “Bud” Ford, 79, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away on October 4, 2011 at the West Virginia Masonic Home.He was born September 9, 1932, in Doddridge County, W.Va., a son of the late Charles Ray and Leona Myrtle Courtney Ford.Bud was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 57 years including the Burning Springs Masonic Lodge 132 A.F. and A.M. and past president of the V.F.W. Chapter 6608 of Elizabeth, W.Va. He was a member of the Elizabeth Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon, taught Sunday school and enjoyed singing in the choir. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports, especially the Mountaineers. He retired from G.E. Plastics in 1991.He is survived by his wife, Anna Belle Wilcox Ford; one daughter, Deborah Ann (Jerry) Roberts of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one son, Charles R. “Butch” (Christina) Ford of Williamstown, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Tina Marie (Jerry) Nichols of Cairo, W.Va. and Derrick (Samantha) Willis of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two step-grandsons, Joseph and Brian Rea both of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Shawn Willis; one son-in-law, John Willis; one sister, Ramona Watson; and one brother, William Ford.Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Mark Houser and Pastor Mark McCloy officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery with full military rites by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg and Masonic Rites by Lodge 132, Burning Springs. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
