Calvin Douglas Gordon,

Calvin Douglas “Doug” Gordon, Sr., 60 of Waverly, W.Va. passed away March 9, 2012. He was born Sept. 7, 1951 in Wood County, W.Va. a son of the late Raymond Ellsworth Gordon Sr. and Esta Marie Carpenter Gordon.Calvin was a 1970 graduate of Williamstown High School where he was a member of the wrestling and baseball teams. He had worked at Universal Glass, Fenton Glass, Nashua Photo and worked for Gordon's Construction. He enjoyed time on the swing at home and spending time with his family.He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Deborah Sparks Gordon; two sons, Calvin Douglas Gordon Jr. (Brandy) of Williamstown, W.Va. and Matthew Ryan Gordon (Lysette) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; four brothers and sisters, Raymond Gordon of N.C., Diana Brown (Roger) of Rockport, W.Va., Valerie Atkinson (Tim) of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Tyler Gordon of Waverly, W.Va.; five grandchildren, LeAnna, Nora, Austin, Madison, and Quinton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
