Calvin R. Cheuvront, 87, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away April 24, 2011, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born December 15, 1923, in Jackson Co., W.Va., a son of the late Logan and Nellie Balderson Cheuvront.Calvin was a 1942 graduate of Parkersburg High School and had retired as a foreman from the former Borg-Warner. He was a true outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. Surviving is his loving wife, Dorothy L. Cheuvront; one daughter, Deborah D. Cheuvront of Ft. Collins, CO; one son, Harold and his wife, Jane Cheuvront of Golden, Colo.; one stepdaughter, Janet Westfall of Elizabeth, W.Va.; three stepsons, Richard Wine of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Jim and Dean Wine, both of Elizabeth, W.Va.; and two grandsons, Jeremy Cheuvront of Arvada, Colo., and Aaron Cheuvront of Denver, Colo.; two great-granddaughters, Mia and Ella Cheuvront; and several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ada Mae Jenkins Cheuvront; eight brothers, Lloyd, Glen, Normal, Dempsie, Amos, Owen, Doyle, and an infant brother; and one sister, Ruby Wilkinson. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday April 28, 2011, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Rev. Ted Osgood officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday April 27, 2011 and one hour prior to services on Thursday.
