Bradford Paul Shutts, 62, of Belpre passed away unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack at his home on Thursday, January 7, 2021. He was born January 16, 1958 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Paul P. and Ottie M. Patterson Shutts of Belpre. Brad was a 1976 graduate of Belpre High School and employed at Walmart in Marietta. He was an avid lover of Ohio State Buckeye football.You rarely saw him without his Ohio State Buckeyes hat on top of his head.He enjoyed watching games with his children and grandchildren and always watched with a can of cherry Diet Dr. Pepper.His passion was being a Papaw and spending time with his grandkids. He is survived by his children’s mother, Janet L. Horner Shutts; daughters, Leanne Deem (Steven) and Molli Shutts, all of Belpre; sons, John Shutts (Courtney) of Belpre and Spencer Shutts (Courtney) of Eleanor, W.Va.; twelve grandchildren, Brandon and Emily Allen, Krislyn, Annelee, Maddison, Caitin, Layton and Jack Shutts, Kaleb, Aaron and Sammy Deem and Bryson McKinley; three great-grandchildren, Sadie, Colten and Maddelynn Allen; sisters, Karen Page (David) and Maureen Shutts; a brother, Chad Shutts; father and mother-in-law, John and Patricia Horner, brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Lajuana McPherson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Kathy Taylor and Shirley Ducarme. A Celebration of Life Service will be 7 pm Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre with Pastor Lonnie Coats officiating.Visitation will be from 4 pm until time of services.Social distancing will be observed and face masks are required.
