She worked at E.I. DuPont and G.E. Chemical. Billie was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church and enjoyed participating in church functions and social events. She was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed cats, outside animals and gardening.She is survived by her son, Richard Joseph Duckworth of Sunrise, Florida; a great-niece, Melissa Varner of Parkersburg and her children Haley Brooke Varner (9 years old), Hannah Nicole Brown (7 years old), and Hunter Michael Todd Nutter (5 years old); and her friend and caregiver, Kathy Downey.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Duckworth who passed away in 1997; and her sisters, Billie Joe Varner and Delight Clinger.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Tom McDowell officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
