Betty Jane Graham Whitlatch, 91, of Vienna, W.Va. died Sunday, November 25, 2012.She was born in Parkersburg, W.Va., the daughter of the late Ernest W. and Freda Crawford Graham on May 31, 1921.Betty graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1939. Betty was a homemaker and an active member of the St. John United Methodist Church, where she was a charter member of the Esther Circle. She was a 50 year member of the United Methodist Women, having served as President of the group. For most of her life she was an active member of First United Methodist Church, Parkersburg, where she taught Sunday School for 26 years.Betty was a past High Priestess of Bethany Shrine #4 and a charter member Clara-Edna Chapter Order of Eastern Star spanning 50 years. She organized and was the first Guardian of Job's Daughters, Bethel #3, Parkersburg. She served as Guardian from 1956 to 1963. Betty also volunteered at the Information Desk for 25 years at St. Joseph's Hospital as well as the American Red Cross.She is survived by four daughters, Priscilla Wines and her husband, Ron, of Parkersburg, W.Va., Sue Rhymer and her husband,Pete, Judith Miller, and Beverly Alfred and her husband, Ed, all of Vienna, W.Va.; twelve grandchildren, Ronald D. Wines, II of Parkersburg, W.Va., Mary Jane Coffman and her husband, James, of Williamsport, MD, Scott O. Miller and his wife, Julie, of Parkersburg, W.Va., Laurie A. Courier of Parkersburg, W.Va., Angela M. Wines of Belpre, Ohio, Andrea S. Howard and her husband, Mark, of Lexington, KY, Stace G. Miller and his wife, Rae Ellen, of Parkersburg, W.Va., Sue Anne Pennington and her husband, Gary, of Parkersburg, W.Va., Donald W. Rhymer and his wife, Dawn, of Monument, CO, Jane G. Alfred of Laurinburg, NC, Nathan J. Alfred of Vienna, W.Va., and Nicholas E. Alfred of Elkins, W.Va.; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Stacy Donald Whitlatch, in 2007.The family expresses their gratitude for the loving and devoted care given Betty while she resided at Ohio Valley Health Care, including Dr. Powderly and Kate Hasse. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the St. John United Methodist Church in Vienna, W.Va. with Rev. Danny McVey, Rev. Norman Butler, and Rev. Mike Horner officiating. Entombment will follow at the Evergreen North Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va. with a White Shrine Service at 7:30 p.m.Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Center at Wayside United Methodist Church, 3001 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, WV. 26105
